PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH

IRIS is committed to principles and practices of community-engaged and community-based participatory research (CBPR).  We have partnered with diverse stakeholders to assess needs, develop questions, devise methods, and create dissemination plans that are practical, accessible, and valuable to agencies, academics, and populations we aim to benefit.

We have collaborated closely with peer leaders to examine and uplift the role of peer-delivered services within the overall opioid recovery support system of care.

IRIS researchers Fernando Wagner and Jon Gilgoff share a lunch celebrating our ongoing partnership with leaders from the peer recovery movement: Reverend Vaile Leonard of Light of Truth Center, Tyrell Moyd of 3c Recovery Support Training Institute, Julvette Price of Behavioral Health System Baltimore, and Tiffinee Scott of Maryland Peer Advisory Council.
